Overview
Underwater Nocturne is the second quest in the Canticles of Harmony quest chain set in the Faded Castle for Genshin Impact 4.6. This guide details how to unlock the quest, provides a complete walkthrough, and lists the rewards.

How to Unlock
To unlock Underwater Nocturne, you must first complete the previous subquest in the Canticles of Harmony quest chain, The Shadow Over Petrichor.
Walkthrough
Continue Exploring the Faded Castle
- Follow Osse:
- Head upstairs and follow Osse.
- Choose to go either to the room with a Teleport Waypoint or right towards the stage to trigger a cutscene.
- Note that going to the stage will eventually lead you to the room with the Teleport Waypoint.
Take the Blank Score
- Solve the Autoharmonic Reed Pipes Puzzle:
- Talk to Osse on the stage and engage in the cutscene.
- To retrieve the Blank Score, solve the Autoharmonic Reed Pipes puzzle in the room with the Teleport Waypoint.
- Step 1: Adjust the right Autoharmonic Reed Pipe. Move it one level to match the indicated note near its back.
- Step 2: Adjust the left Autoharmonic Reed Pipe. Move the arrow to the middle part to match the note near it.
- Step 3: After solving the puzzle, the pedestal containing the Blank Score will unlock, along with an Exquisite Chest. Grab the Blank Score and return to the stage.
Play the Symphony on the Mural
- Activate the Stage:
- Place the Blank Score onto the pedestal on the stage.
- A cutscene will trigger, introducing Boethius who emerges from the mural.
- The stage will activate, allowing future interaction to obtain a Luxurious Chest and the Tuba Mirum score.
Osse Becomes Monsieur Os
- Interact with Osse:
- After the cutscene, Osse will transform into Monsieur Os, with the title “Cassiodor”.
- You can now pet Osse without him getting mad.
Defeat the Golems
- Combat Phase:
- Boethius will awaken four Golems to attack you.
- Use a Geo Character like Zhongli or Arataki Itto to break their shields efficiently.
- Defeat the Golems to conclude the quest.
- Collect the Tuba Mirum Score:
- Head back to the Harp and begin the performance on the mural to obtain the Tuba Mirum score.
