Head to the Sea of Bygone Eras

1. Enter the Portal:
   • After the cutscene with Boethius and Monsieur Os, head to where the cat is and go through the portal.
2. Explore the Underwater Area:
   • Follow the cat through the ruins until you encounter a familiar narwhal.
   • Enter the current, which will transport you to another area.

Continue Onward

3. Reach the Sea of Bygone Eras:
   • Allow the current to carry you to the Sea of Bygone Eras.
   • Observe the narwhal tied by three chains and watch the cutscene.

Break the Chains that Bind Scylla

How to Break the First Chain

4. Follow the Chain to the Cave:
   • Locate the Narwhal’s spirit outside the cave.
5. Enter the Cave:
   • Proceed towards the rock formation connected to the chain. A cutscene will play.
6. Talk to Este:
   • Este instructs you to negotiate peacefully with the legionnaires.
7. Negotiate with the Legionnaires:
   • Use the following answers to gain the leader’s trust:
     • “The Sebastos does not permit the harm of innocent people.”
     • “Yet you are not receiving the melody.”
     • “Phobos’s silence signifies rejection.”
8. Dispel the Chain:
   • After the conversation, switch to your Symphony Skill (T Key) and hold the skill to play a soundwave that dispels the chain.
   • Watch the cutscene, open the chest, and return to the Narwhal via Waypoint.

How to Break the Second Chain

9. Follow the Chain to Another Cave:
   • Locate the Narwhal’s spirit outside the cave.
10. Defeat the Golems:
    • Enter the cave and defeat the two activated golems.
    • Defeat the third golem that activates afterwards. Watch the cutscene.
11. Dispel the Second Chain:
    • Proceed to the rock formation and use your Symphony Skill to dispel the chain.
    • Open the chest and return to the Narwhal via Waypoint.

How to Break the Third Chain

12. Follow the Chain to a Small Area:
    • Locate the Narwhal’s spirit nearby.
13. Interact with the Octopi:
    • Use your Symphony Skill to pause the octopi, ensuring their soundwaves hit all nearby anemone.
14. Dispel the Third Chain:
    • After positioning the octopi, proceed to the shackle and dispel the chain using your Symphony Skill.
    • Watch the cutscene, open the chest, and return to the Narwhal via Waypoint.

Head to Where Scylla Is

15. Reunite Scylla’s Soul and Body:
    • After clearing all the chains, the soul and body of the “dragon” will reunite. Watch the cutscene.
    • Confirm readiness to proceed to the next area with Scylla.

Pass through the Initium Iani with Scylla

16. Quick-Time Events:
    • Accompany Scylla as she attacks the gate to Domus Aurea. Complete the quick-time events to avoid restarting the sequence.
