How to Unlock The Ethereal’s Guide
Unlocked After Visiting the HIA Club
After visiting the HIA Club during Chapter 2: A Call From the Hollow’s Heart, talk to your sibling back in Random Play. They will give you new commissions to reach Inter-Knot Level 26.
One of these commissions is “Blast Away,” which introduces a Strange Man outside the store. Talk to the Strange Man, who reveals himself as Colt, and accept the commission on the Inter-Knot.

Talk to the Strange Man Near Random Play
During Chapter 2, visit the HIA Club and return to Random Play to talk to your sibling. They will instruct you to reach Inter-Knot Level 26 and give you a list of commissions to complete. One of these commissions, “Blast Away,” directs you to a Strange Man outside the store. Talk to him, and he will reveal himself as Colt. Accept the commission from Colt.
Complete the Commission Using the HDD
Go back to Random Play and use the HDD System to start the commission, “The Ethereal’s Guide.”

Get the Bomb and Go to the Next Area
- Get the bomb on the lower left to obtain the Jackbox Bomb and Tactical Bomb, which has a cross-shaped area explosion every 3 steps but does not damage the user.
- Destroy the breakable wall on the lower right using the bomb and proceed to the next area.
Collect 15,000 Gear Coins
- The next area has many enemies that you can use the bomb to explode and collect Gear Coins. Your goal is to gather 15,000 Gear Coins in this section.
Use Overload Charges When Cornered
- Use the 4 Overload Charges to explode enemies if cornered. If you run out of Overload Charges, defeat the enemy to gain another 4 Overload Charges.
Use Energy Crystal Conversion
- Use Energy Crystal Conversion monitors that appear in the field to get bonuses such as increased Gear Coin gain, reduced enemy action chances, or convert energy to Gear Coins.
Get Observation Data
- Observation Data 1: Located on the lower left of the second map.
- Observation Data 2: Located on the lower right of the second map.
- Observation Data 3: Located on the upper left of the second map.
Submit 15,000 Gear Coins
- Go back to the first map and submit 15,000 Gear Coins. Proceed to the exit to complete the commission.
