Duolingo Can Now Help You Learn Modern Standard Mandarin

Duolingo (in its latest update) has integrated support for simplified Chinese (Modern Standard Mandarin). The company claims that the Chinese course was the most requested language courses on the platform, as it is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world.

It was added that due to numerous complications of the language and the fact that it is one of the most difficult to learn for native English speakers, the app will only be able to teach you the basics, including 1,000 words and 1,000 characters.

The course will be enough to pass the first three levels of the official Chinese proficiency test, but not enough to become fluent in the language.
