IT Minister Seeks Exemption in Taxes For IT and Telecom Sector A meeting was held at the Ministry of Finance regarding the tax-related issues affecting information technology and telecommunications, to ensure fiscal viability for these two industries.

Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque apprised the finance minister of his ministry’s contribution to Pakistan’s economic progress while informing him that there are various taxation-related problems being faced in this industry right now; he appealed to have exemptions/reductions on taxes imposed so it would be easier to do business in this industry and keep it alive in Pakistan.IT Minister Seeks Exemption in Taxes For IT and Telecom Sector

Haque told the attendees that IT and telecommunications not only contributed towards increasing exports but also helped increase GDP. The finance minister acknowledged this claim and affirmed the current government’s efforts towards enhancing the growth of these sectors through incentives offered and urged everyone present at the event to come up with solutions from here onwards so people could do businesses without any hassle whatsoever.

On Wednesday, Pakistani Finance Minister Miftah Ismail presided over a meeting about the current state of tax-related issues within the Information Technology and Telecommunications industry.

Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque briefed Mr. Ismail on how the contributions from these industries has been pivotal in Pakistan’s economic success so far.He noted that despite some setbacks, there are plenty of opportunities out there to expand this industry further as long as governments provide adequate incentives–which is what Mr. Ismail vowed to do if elected Prime Minister next year.
