How to Create FREE Domain Email & Connect with Gmail (Step-by-Step)?
Well, now we will learn step-by-step, how to create a custom email address, using your own domain like info@yourdomain.com and how you can connect it to your Google Gmail account.
This way, you can send and receive emails using Gmail, but your customers will see the emails as coming from your domain name.
STEP – 1
Go to the cPanel (provided you your hosting provider) => Email Accounts
STEP – 2
Go to Add Email Account. Fill the details. Select the domain you want your email account to be associated with in the drop-down list and enter the desired email and a strong password of your choice. Once done, click Create Account.
You’ll see a message like this showing success and your account details (name).
STEP – 3
Open you Gmail. Click on the Gear icon at the Top Right and Click on Settings.
Go to the Accounts and Import tab. Scroll down to Check mail from Other accounts and then click on Add mail account.
STEP – 4
Add the email here you created on Step – 2. Click Next to continue.
STEP – 5
Enter the mail setting details. Username = your created email address. POP Server (don’t change). Keep port 110 (it is for FREE Accounts).
For paid accounts keep Port on 995 and do click on the second check on Always use a Secure connection (SSL). For more instructions and details please watch above video.
Click Add Account to Continue.
STEP – 6
Untick the Treat as alias checkbox (if left ticked the recipients of your emails will see a message saying “email is sent on behalf of …@gmail.com” – which doesn’t look very professional).
Click Next Step to Continue
STEP – 7
Enter Username and Password. (For FREE Account, don’t change Port here). Click Add Account.
For paid accounts, change the port is changed to 465.
STEP – 8
Now, on Gmail you’ll get two emails. The second one from Gmail where you’ll get a code. Copy that code and paste here. Click Verify and your are done.
You’ll also get an option to click on a link (in above email) and you’ll be verified.
