Among other amazing and useful features of WhatsApp is the Groups Chat features. The group chat features come in handy when people want to share information or have a discussion on a topic among their friends and family, business partners, colleagues, etc.
I’m sure you already how to create a WhatsApp group and add members in it. Now, the process was first to save the members in contacts and then add them one by one which was quite a tedious job, especially when there are too many contacts to add and most of them you don’t want to save in your phone.
What if there was a way to add members in groups without saving them in your contacts? Well, good news, there is a way now.
WhatsApp Group Invite Link Feature
In latest WhatsApp update, WhatsApp has added a new group invite link feature that allows admins to add members to a group without saving the contacts of the members.
How to Add People to WhatsApp Groups without Saving them on Your Contacts?
First, you need to update your WhatsApp Version. Secondly and obviously, you need to be the Admin of the group. So, here is the step by step process.
- Launch WhatsApp.
- Open the desired group where you want to add members.
- Tap on three-dots from the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap on Group Info.
- Scroll down and you’ll option of Invite via Link.
- It will show you a message ‘Anyone with WhatsApp can follow the link to join this group. Only share it with people you trust’. And then four more options: i) Send link via WhatsApp ii) Copy Link iii) Share Link iv) Revoke link
Now you can share the link in WhatsApp groups etc. Anyone clicks on the link can join WhatsApp. You can copy-paste the link anywhere and share it. Also, you can revoke the link (no one can then join the group after clicking on this link).
