Google Photos Latest Update Allows Users to Edit Photos in Other Apps

If you are a Google Photos user then you are very well aware of its importance and its features. Well for me Google Photos is one of the best Apps that Google has ever developed (not to mention Google Maps). If you are an Android User and not using Google Photos then you are missing a lot. Simply you have to make a Google Account (Gmail) and there you go your Google Photos account is ready to be used.

You will find two main options. 1) Unlimited Storage at Google Photos: Here Google compresses your pictures and videos and sets things accordingly 2) Limited Storage: Here the photos/videos you submit remain at its original quality. No any compression from Google. Yet here Google gives you limited storage ie 13GB (unless you are not a Pixel Phone user). Well, the last thing about Google Photos whether your pictures remain safe or not. Well, I guess don’t even think about it. You are all safe and don’t worry about your privacy until and unless someone gets your Gmail ID Password.

So with this latest update, Google now gives us the option of Editing Photos stored in Google Photos directly from the App. Great!! as previously we had to first download pictures and then edit and then share; while not everything is at the same place. It should be kept in mind that Google Photos does not give us any editor etc rather its Edit in option takes us third-party Photo Editing Apps that are currently installed in mobile. So the choice is yours. Well, I think it is great. As now we can edit any picture we want in any editor – no more dependence on any particular App.

In this video, you’re walked-through all the process with examples how things are done.

Google Photos Finally Gets a Revamped Video Editor on Android | Google Photos Latest Update

About a year ago, Google introduced a redesigned and more functional video editor on Google Photos for iOS users. This video editor is finally making its way to Android users at last.

This video editor has a much cleaner, white UI, which falls in line with all of Google’s recent design changes. The cluttered clips carousel has now been replaced with a stacked timeline, which makes it easier to arrange the clips, scrub, select and mute clips.

You also have the option to add music, by hitting the musical note icon. You can choose between themed tracks provided by Google, your own music, or no music at all. Update to the latest version of Photos (v3.18.0.192689168) to get the new video editor.
