The memo, shared by the head of Facebook app Tom Alison, says that the company intends for itself to become a Discovery Engine which focuses on recommendations similar to what we see in TikTok’s For You tab – namely based around unconnected content like Reels and featuring less posts from friends and family- but still retaining all your activity in one place akin to Instagram’s Explore tab.
