Introduction
Welcome to the detailed guide for Icedrift Hollow: Depths in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ). This stage is part of the Watch Your Step event’s Day 4 challenges. In this guide, we’ll provide step-by-step instructions for completing both the Easy and Hard Mode commissions, and highlight the rewards you can earn. Let’s get started!
Hard Commission Guide
Icedrift Hollow Depths is a crucial stage in the Watch Your Step event. Completing the Hard Mode Commission will earn you HIA Data Samples and other valuable rewards.

How to Get HIA Data Samples
Destroy Bottom Right Bricks and Move Down
Step 1: Push down the bomb and destroy the bricks at the bottom right. Once there’s an opening, go to the Fissure to the second floor.
Push Bomb to the Fissure and Collect First HIA Data Sample
Step 2: As there’s no other path, push the bomb in front of you to detonate blocks on the first floor. Move forward to return to the first floor and pick up the first HIA Data Sample before moving back to the second floor.
Push Bottom Bomb and Collect Second HIA Data Sample
Step 3: Go to the Fissure to the third floor and push the bottom bomb up to the hole. From your starting point, go right, two steps down, right, and up. Pick up the HIA Data Sample on the bottom right corner afterward, doing a zigzag motion.
Push Right Bomb and Collect Third HIA Data Sample
Step 4: Move up and push the bomb on the right of the hole by going left. Take the next HIA Data Sample on the upper right by moving up, right, and up again.
Push Top Bomb to Hole
Step 5: Move two spaces left and then down to drop the last bomb.
Pick Up Remaining Samples
Step 6: Enter the hole and collect the fourth and fifth HIA Data Samples and head to the upper left tile.
Drop Down Upper Left Fissure and Defeat Ethereals
Step 7: Head to the final Fissure on the upper left to drop down and fight Ethereals. Note that there’s a Dullahan that you must also defeat.

Icedrift Hollow Depths Easy Mode Route
Reach the Second Floor of the Hollow
Step 1: Push the bomb down to the bricks below and move away to detonate it. Pick up the purple chest and proceed to the next floor.
Reach the Third Floor of the Hollow
Step 2: First, move to the upper right corner and pick up the chest. Next, push the bomb toward the bricks, leaving a gap and then moving away to make it explode. Once you create an opening, pick up the remaining chest and move to the next floor.
Defeat the Ethereals on the Third Floor of the Hollow
Step 3: Move down one space and then push the top bomb two steps to the right until it lines up with the bottom bomb. Then, move up and pick up the purple chest. Once the bombs explode, pick up the gold chest and then go to the final tile and defeat the Ethereals.

To collect all HIA Data Samples in the Hard Commissions of each stage in Watch Your Step, ensure you accumulate the data, leading to more rewards. Icedrift Hollow Depths has a total of 5 HIA Data Samples. Being the fourth stage, you should only have 5 at this point.

Part of the Watch Your Step Event, Icedrift Hollow: Depths is the Day 4 stage where you must plan out the best route in the easy commission and get the HIA Data Samples in the hard commission. You also get to complete the Watch Your Step: Depths Investigation Event Mission through this!
