Do you have a website? How is your website’s performance? Do you know it has error? Is your website secure? Well these questions and many more come in our mind about our Website / Blog. The good news is that now you can check all these with a reliable source, the team behind Microsoft’s Edge browser has launched an all-new open-source tool to let you do exactly that. It’s called Sonar, a linting tool and site scanner aimed to assist website developers in building websites that are faster and more secure.

As of now, Sonar can be accessed as a web service that’s hosted by Microsoft and as a command-line tool for the experienced developers who want to get straight to the detail and integrate it into their own workflows.

Earlier this year, Sonar project was donated to the JS Foundation by Microsoft. Now, we’re glad that we don’t need a command-line tool to get it to work. All you need to do is, simply head over to Sonar’s website and type in the website’s URL.

The tool is getting a lot of new features in the coming months, including a Visual Studio Code plug-in, support for additional rules for testing performance and ability to customize rules in the web app.
